Dynamic driving trainer for KAMAZ chassis.

Today Chairman of the Management of the Public and State Association “Regional Defence Sports and Technical Organization – RDSTO (DOSAAF) of the Republic of Tatarstan” Radiy Zaripov and Chairman of Management of Kazan municipal organization RDSTO DOSAAF RT Eduard Ivanov tested a dynamic driving trainer for KAMAZ chassis in Technopark “Idea”.

Specialists of company RDSTO DOSAAF gave their recommendations to developers of auto trainer for its improvement.

Dynamic driving trainer for KAMAZ chassis is designed to educate drivers of category “C” to form and maintain their stable driving skills in different landscape, road and weather conditions, and also in conditions of dense urban traffic.

The main characteristics of the trainer:

1. Realism:

- KAMAZ factory cab has all controls and monitoring devices;

- KAMAZ factory cab has a visualization of the environment on the LCD panels, completely covering the area of the windscreen and side windows of the cab;

- Dynamic platform simulates the acceleration experienced by the driver during acceleration, braking and cornering, and also road surface roughness;

- A mathematical model creates a realistic vehicle dynamics.

2. Wide range of exercises:

- Initial training is carried out on a standard autodrome;

- Automated autodrome is realized in detail according to new rules of the road 2009;

- A city model has roads with total length more than 30 km, complex interchange, crossroads and intensive traffic;

- Mountain road;

- Country road.

3. Weather conditions: rain, snow, fog and icy.

4. There is control of all items of the rules of the road according to methodology of State Inspectorate of Road Traffic Security.

5. There is control of training process from instructor working place.

This trainer was developed by company “Intelligent Design” LLC (IDES) with support of JSC “KAMAZ”, TECHNO STROY “OLIMP” and Technopark “Idea”.
