“PLC GROUP ”, a subsidiary of extraterritorial resident of Technopark “Idea” and “VIKOM-M”, a resident of Technopark, have developed and implemented a screw block-modular automated compressor unit for the collection, transportation and recovery of associated petroleum gas of low stage separation.

According to the BPC Engineering – an integrated engineering company specialized in the distributed power system integration and operation, over the years, oil and gas complex remained the main air and environmental pollutants due to the widespread burning of high volume associated petroleum gas. It accounted for 30% of the all industrial complexes’ pollutant emissions. At the same time, the particularity of APG production is that it is a byproduct of oil production. Lack of infrastructure for its collection, preparation, transportation and processing was the main cause of APG irrational use for a long time.
The unit, developed by "PLC GROUP" and “VIKOM-M”, makes possible to reduce the volume of flared APG with its subsequent recovery. The compressor unit prototype has been operated on a remote oil and gas field in the Tomsk region for more than a year.
As the unit inventors note, further promising developments on the subject are currently under the progress. “We hope to create a better model based on already established, with the expansion of its application range and further obtaining patent priority for Russia,”- they said.
