On October 27, 2018 Kazan will host the Business game “Business Debut – 2018”. With its help, you can get a job of a novice entrepreneur in one of the technological startups of the Nanotechnology Center network and achieve tangible results in business in 10 months.
The “Business Debut” project is engaged in the selection of “venture builders” among fifth-year students, graduate students and young scientists who will build a business from scratch. Every year, a network of venture capital companies in Russia, established in partnership with the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs (RUSNANO Group), creates from 100 to 150 new companies and all of them require venture builders.
8 venture construction companies of Russia from Kazan, Saransk, Ulyanovsk, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Tomsk and Troitsk (New Moscow) are recruiting 100 business debutants for their start-ups with the help of the one-day business game “Build a company. Sell the company”. 1 million rubles will be invested in each startup for 10 months to create its first product and pay salaries to debutants - 25 thousand rubles in the regions and 35 thousand rubles in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The remaining investment goes to the creation of the first product.
“Such specialists are not managers who are able to work only in already established companies with understandable products and a business model”, - said Denis Kovalevich, the game developer, entrepreneur, General Director of the Troitsk Nanotechnology Center “Technospark”. “Venture builders have been building the business from the very beginning, creating the first product sample, carrying out the first work on the market, concluding the first preliminary contracts for this product, and so on”.
“Business Debut” has already been held in several cities of Russia. According to the results of the game, it becomes clear whether a particular player can work intensively for ten hours in a row. At this stage, approximately 50% of the participants are eliminated. Secondly, the ability of the player to entrepreneurship is determined. Thirdly, the jury sees what the remaining players mean by entrepreneurship.
