“NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC” MAGAZINE WRITERS HAVE VISITED “IDEA”

Last Friday in Technopark “Idea” the members of “National Geographic” were told about the specific work with residents and the performance evaluation tools of Russian technoparks. The guests arrived in Tatarstan within the travel route by the “Golden Eagle” train.       

The “Golden Eagle” - the first private excursion deluxe train in Russia. It embodies a new concept of rail journey - the highest level of comfort and service. The “Golden Eagle” is among the World’s TOP 25 trains according to the ratings of the Society of International Railway Travelers. In a short time the train has become the most popular Russian brand of travel abroad and a leader in the foreign tourists’ rail tours in Russia and the countries of Asia. The “Golden Eagle” was initiated in 2007. The itinerary: Vladivostok-Khabarovsk-Ulan Bator, Mongolia - Ulan-Ude - Lake Baikal - Irkutsk - Novosibirsk – Yekaterinburg - Kazan - Moscow - St. Petersburg optional. Approximate journey time: 17 days.   

The guests have already visited Tatarstan prior to that. For example, last year, members of “National Geographic” visited the Parliament of the Republic, as well as got acquainted with its museum.

This year three arrivals of guests in Kazan have been scheduled. During the first visit, “National Geographic” members have been presented the Technopark “Idea” activity, the most outstanding projects of residents, as well as the aspects of work with the younger generation. During the meeting a particular attention has been paid to cooperation with the professional EBN Community. The head of the Department of External Relations and PR Evgeniy Malikov has also told the guests about the aspects of technoparks activity, accredited by the European Business and Innovation Centre Network. In conclusion, the members of “National Geographic” have been presented the activities of the Youth Innovation Creativity Centre “Idea”, the students of which, in particular, are engaged in the creation of a new generation 3D-printer.

As the route organizers stated, such meetings are held only in Kazan. This is one of the specific aspects for a group of “National Geographic”. This year, other trips are scheduled for August and September.
