The Republican Lego-engineering competition entitled “We love LEGO” among schoolchildren will be held in the conference hall of Innovative Technopark “Idea” on the 1st of June, 2012. The interactive program for the younger generation is focused on raising their interest in the high technologies.
20 teams – representatives of robotics centers from Aznakaevo, Almetyevsk, Yelabuga, Zainsk, Zelenodolsk, Mamadysh, Nizhnekamsk, Pestretsy, Spassk and Chistopol municipal regions of the Republic of Tatarstan, Naberezhnye Chelny and Kazan will take part in the competition devoted to International Children’s Day.
As part of the competition the schoolchildren are to assemble, program and debug the robot so that it will be able to defeat the enemy in sumo wrestling and also carry out creative home assignment.

Programming and Robotics Centre “Lego” has started its activity in Innovative Technopark “Idea” since February, 2009. Members of the Centre form a community of young people interested in science, high technologies; they may have access to information resources and services, have opportunity to participate in trainings, workshops, competitions, programs of employment and personnel reserve formation.
The program implemented by Technopark “Idea” in cooperation with its partners brings back the reputation of engineering profession in the eyes of youth, forms a wide range of skills and personnel qualities – teamwork skills, sense of responsibility and purpose.
Robotics Center Network in the field of Children’s Further Education across the Republic is being created with the assistance of Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan since 2011.
